USDA Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack has announced that he plans to hold a closed door, invitation-only GMO labeling summit in Washington D.C. as soon as next week.
Why behind closed doors? That's not acceptable. We definitely don't trust Monsanto Man Vilsack and his Big Food cronies.
Tell Vilsack this process must be transparent and that Vermont’s GMO labeling law must be preserved as written with no federal preemption, changes, or delay.
It must go into effect July 1st of this year. And we want mandatory, national GMO labeling. NO VOLUNTARY LABELING, QR codes or silly symbols, or any other such nonsense.
Last year, our collective efforts stopped the DARK Act and prevented a DARK Act Rider from being placed into December’s omnibus spending bill. We need you to step up, once again, to fight for food transparency. TAKE ACTION HERE:
